We had a fabulous time on our short trip to Oregon. I was sad to leave yesterday, but glad that we had the chance to go.
We flew in on Friday night, got checked in to our hotel, then we went out to dinner with my uncle David and his wife Rosanna. We went to this great seafood/steak place in downtown Portland that was actually on the water. The food was delicious and we had such a blast. Thanks again David & Rox for the awesome night and fabulous food!

Saturday, we got to sleep in and enjoy the morning. Then, we headed to my grandparents house to meet up with them to carpool to the beach. We got to the beach around 3 and just hung out and played with my aunt Shelly's adorable kids; Sayre, Max, Bailey, Lily & Violet.
Sunday, we got all ready for the Seaside parade. Decorated the kids bikes and headed to the beach. We walked the parade, catching candy, waving and having a blast. Trev and Cole enjoyed the free hot dogs while us girls took pictures.

After the parade, we all just took it easy and relaxed, ate lunch and hung out. The guys all decided they wanted to play wiffle ball on the beach. It was freezing and raining so the girls stayed in the car and watched. It was a riot.
Because the 4th was on a Sunday this year, we decided to just "watch" the fireworks that night, then we would do our own on the beach on Monday. It worked out so well that way because come Monday all of the beaches were empty and we got to enjoy the whole thing to ourselves. We had yummy burgers and delicious smores. As soon as the sun started to set the boys were like little kids in a candy shop with all of the boxes and boxes of "professional" fireworks!

We had so much fun. I am so glad that Trev loves going to Oregon as much as I do! We can't wait for next year. Until then, good bye Gearheart, Oregon. We love you.
