Monkey see, monkey do!

So if you know me well enough you know that when I get an idea pertaining to crafts or food, I cannot function until I make it. Back around Christmas break I got an itch to make a book page wreath that my dear friend Kendal had made and I coveted ever since. It took me a few months to finish but I finally did it.

Last night around 9:00 pm I was surfing the net and I stumbled up a little gem. I was immediately taken with it and knew I had to make it and make it RIGHT then. Good thing I have a husband who thinks my ideas are lunatic and refused to let me go to the store. So instead I whipped up some frosting real quick and practiced how to make this beaut.

I tried to find the original site where the cake came from but I had no luck. So I just decided to wing it. Believe it or not I did it perf on my first try. I was so excited. As I laid in bed, trying to get some shut eye, I couldn't help but dream of making this cake. After work, my first stop was to get ingredients to make my masterpiece. After, a few hours and a lovely visit from friends the cake is finish. I am dying. I am so obsessed with it. I seriously wish I would have had the idea for my wedding cake. Can you imagine a 3 tier cake like this dusted with a pearl powder to make the roses shimmer? Gahhh!!

I just had to share in my excited because I am honestly obsessed. Anyone wanna come over for some cake?? Or anyone have a birthday or special occasion coming up? I will make you one!

Well we are off to St. George for Easters. Have a fab weekend.

Toodles!

Nice work. I came across your blog while “blog surfing” using the Next Blog button on the blue Nav Bar located at the top of my blogger.com site. I frequently just travel around looking for other blogs which exist on the Internet, and the various, creative ways in which people express themselves. Thanks for sharing.
